This collaboration between ELVINE and Gothenburg-based artist Ollio has resulted in a limited-edition collection where art meets fashion. The garments feature handmade prints by Ollio, known for his bold and experimental works that blend various techniques and materials. The result? Kinesiska Muren – A symbol of Gothenburg

To celebrate the launch of this exclusive collection, we had the amazing opportunity to host an event at one of Gothenburg’s most iconic buildings – Kinesiska Muren (Swedish for the Great Wall of China) at Skeppsbron 4. Built in 1914, this landmark holds a special place in the hearts of Gothenburg residents, as it once housed Sweden’s first Chinese restaurant, also named Kinesiska Muren. This was the birthplace of the legendary dish ‘three small dishes’ (‘tre små rätter’ in Swedish), which later became a nationwide favorite. The restaurant closed in 2016, and for years, the building stood empty. But now, it’s finally being revived to once again become a vibrant meeting place for the people of the city.

Ollio
Jonathan Josefsson, better known as Ollio, is a Gothenburg-based artist celebrated for his striking street art and murals. His vibrant, intricate works bring life to urban spaces, blending abstract shapes and patterns in a style that’s unmistakably his own. Beyond the streets, Ollio also explores textile art, where his playful and creative expressions continue to captivate a wide audience.
For this limited collection, each garment is handmade using the screen-printing technique, and every piece a has a unique artwork. Basically, you’re not just wearing a t-shirt—you’re wearing art!
At ELVINE, we love shining a light on local creatives with a deep connection to Gothenburg. As a proud Gothenburg-based brand, it was extra special to launch this collection at a place so iconic to the people of the city.
